How to Prestige in ABA

Complete ABA prestige guide: reach level 100, find Mr. Randomo, trade 99 levels for a random prestige character, and understand what you keep.

What Is Prestige in Anime Battle Arena?

Prestige is Anime Battle Arena's endgame progression system. Once you reach level 100 — displayed as God rank — you can visit Mr. Randomo at the back of the lobby and trade 99 levels for a random prestige-exclusive character. These fighters cannot be purchased with gold and sit outside the standard roster, making prestige the only path to unlock them legitimately.

Prestiging is a major commitment. Your level drops back to 1 after the exchange, and you must grind from scratch toward the next prestige opportunity at level 100 again. You keep your gold, gamepasses, previously unlocked characters, skins, and emotes. Understanding this tradeoff before prestiging prevents regret — read our prestige character guide for roster details.

Step-by-Step Prestige Process

Step 1: Grind to level 100. Use Arena Mode and daily quests as described in our level-up guide. Most players need one to three weeks of consistent daily play. Step 2: Save gold before prestiging. You will restart at level 1 without income penalties, but having a gold buffer lets you buy a strong main immediately after reset.

Step 3: Walk to the back of the ABA lobby and interact with Mr. Randomo. Step 4: Confirm the prestige exchange — 99 levels for one random prestige character. Step 5: Receive your new fighter and begin the climb back to level 100. Duplicate prestige characters can occur; community trading discussions happen on Discord, but official trading is not supported in-game.

Mr. Randomo & Prestige Roster

Mr. Randomo is the NPC who manages all prestige transactions. He appears in the main lobby behind the central spawn area. You cannot prestige until you literally reach level 100 — there is no early prestige option or Robux shortcut for the level requirement itself. The Dr. Random gamepass is separate; it randomizes your playable roster from favorites but does not replace prestige. Compare both in our Dr. Random guide.

Prestige characters include exclusives like Zenitsu and other anime fighters not sold in the gold shop. Quality varies — check the prestige tier list before hoping for a specific drop. The prestige characters page lists every known exclusive with franchise and tier data.

Is Prestige Worth It?

Prestige is worth it if you want exclusive characters and enjoy the long-term grind. It is not worth it if you only play casually and are satisfied with gold-bought fighters — many S-tier characters like Yuji Itadori, Gojo, and Law are available without prestiging. Competitive ranked players often prestige multiple times chasing optimal exclusives for the 1v1 meta.

Consider your roster first. If you still lack strong gold characters, spend time earning gold from gold methods before resetting your level. Track upcoming reworks on the ABA Trello — prestiging right before a major patch can feel bad if your new character gets nerfed immediately.

After Prestige: Rebuilding

Post-prestige, return to Arena Mode for fastest re-leveling. Your combat skills remain even if your level resets, so the second climb to 100 is usually faster than the first. Test your new prestige character in training and our combo guide before taking it into ranked.

Set a long-term goal: three prestige characters for variety, or one perfect main for ranked climbing. Link your progression plan with ranked strategy and character roster research so each prestige cycle improves your account meaningfully rather than repeating the same grind blindly.
